"A l'origine, ce groupe (مجموعة قورارا/جورارا/غورارا) vient du Maroc et chante dans le dialect Berbère. Sa popularité a débuté au début des années 80 et duré jusqu'à fin 90. Le style de Groupe Gourara s'appelle 'Ahl El-Gourara'/'L’Ahellil du Gourara' (les Hommes de Gourara). C'est une cérémonie religieuse collective de danse et de musique très similaire au Gnawaout, qui utilise des instruments traditionnels marocains comme le bendir, le qraqeb, etc. en plus des claquements de mains."
( /!\ entre temps un lecteur suggère que ces informations sont fausses et qu'ils s'agit bien d'un groupe algérien - lire les commentaires - moi je ne sais pas et j'écoute la musique /!\ )
Rien à voir, donc, avec la région d'Algérie, le lac du Niger ou la montagne du Tchad.

This is not an Algerian band. This group (مجموعة قورارا/جورارا/غورارا) originally sang in Berber dialect and came from Morocco. They saw some popularity in and around the early 80's throughout the late 90's. There's another contemporary Moroccan Amazigh band with the same name that comes from Ait Melloul in Agadir and sing in Arabic darja or colloquial Moroccan dialect, but isn't the same group.
RépondreSupprimerThe style of Groupe Gourara is called 'Ahl El-Gourara'/L’Ahellil du Gourara, or The People of Gourara which is a religious collective dance and musical ceremony so similar to Gnawaout and is performed using traditional Moroccan instruments like the bendir, qraqeb, etc... in accompaniment of hand claps, sometimes reaching 120 performers.

Gourara is also the name of a mountain in Chad, and a lake in Niger. The region with the same name in Algeria is also written sometimes as Guerrara.

Oh, almost forgot... The singers of Gourara are all of a Berber and Sudanese origin and hence, they're all very black-skinned.
